Golf View Home Tour
Our latest project sits on a picturesque street in South Tampa's Golf View neighborhood. The grande and sprawling exterior is the perfect set up for what you'll find inside. And trust me; it does not disappoint.
Our clients, a couple with two growing boys, bought this house three years ago. It came with the ideal layout, gourmet kitchen, large bedrooms, and ample space for entertaining. But what it had in architecture, it lacked in warmth. That's where the art of interior design came in. Belle Maison's owner, Maura Kemm, added new furniture, fresh window coverings, and switched out most of the light fixtures.
The second you walk through the front door, you notice the curve of the staircase, a modern work of art now complemented by the vintage chandelier Maura found to hang at the top of the landing.
The dining room might be our favorite room in the entire house.

Our client had her heart set on beautiful deGournay wallpaper, but the coved ceiling made hanging wallpaper impossible. The solution Maura found ended up being even better. Jeff Monsein and his team from Tampa based Splat Paint hand-painted every intricate detail of the chinoiserie mural that wraps around the dining room. It took the artists five weeks to complete as they delicately layered color over color to bring this round white room to life.
The simple changes to the master bedroom pack a powerful punch. The lighter color palette, fresh linens, and new drapery make this room more serene and inviting than it was before. Maura chose Chinois Palais fabric from Schumacher in a beautiful blush color for the duvet and added two unique lamps from MarketPlace Interiors made out of architectural pieces to the buffet.

Before
The home office was dark and masculine, not exactly what the woman of the house wanted for her new home office. Opting not to repaint the walls, Maura lightened up the space with an off white couch, new pillows, drapes, and bright artwork.

This was such a fun project—no construction, just straight up interior design. Take a look at how Maura elevated the style of each room through her selective choice of decor.
