Sunset Park Before & After
When Chris and Megean Brandriff decided to leave the hustle and bustle of NYC behind for a more family-friendly life in Florida, they fell in love with a large, 4 bedroom traditional home on a canopied lined street in the heart of South Tampa. They knew moving from a tiny apartment in the big apple to a 3,500 square foot home in Sunset Park would come with some challenges, the biggest one… filling all of that space! That's where interior designer, Maura Kemm, came in. The couple’s realtor introduced them to Maura at closing. The Brandriffs flew back to NY that night and Maura got to work. She stared with the kitchen, which was dark and dated.

Maura used creamy quartzite countertops throughout the kitchen and added new custom cabinets that extended to the ceiling. She had the tile floor removed, replacing it with rich and inviting hardwoods. The stain is the perfect shade, not too dark or too light.
Maura was originally hired to just update the kitchen, but the project quickly expanded to the entire house. With Chris and Megean back in NY, they began trusting Maura to make design decisions without them. After closing on the house, they didn't return until the entire house was complete.
It’s been 2 years since the couple moved in. They now have a one year old and two dogs, making this charming breakfast nook the perfect spot to spend slow weekend mornings.
